More than five (5), yes five (5) tons of non-perishable food
and other items were collected on behalf of North Fulton
Community Charities (NFCC) which will be added to NFCC's
dwindling summer inventory. An additional eight locations
donated food to the Community Action Center in Sandy
Springs.
We thank the drop point volunteers who allowed use of their
space for food collection. We thank those who donated food
or other items. We thank all who contributed their time in
any way. We thank the food drive committee members that
devoted hours and hours to insure the food drive's success!
There are always superstars. The food drive had at least
three who deserve to be recognized; The Goddard School's
incredible contribution of more than 25 boxes of food items.
Wow! What an effort! Ron
Yurick with AccuBrokers, Inc., logistics co-chair who
masterfully organized signage and box distribution, food
collection, routing and allocation of vehicle resources.
James Halter is our third superstar. James devoted his
entire Friday to properly re-boxing and loading all
collected food and other items. Kudos to all.
Stay tuned, we intend to announce a second community project
before school reopens.
- GNFCC Community Service Committee Chair Dimitri Tripodi
GNFCC would like to extend a personal thanks to Dimitri Tripodi.
Dimitri was behind the scenes during this entire drive but
he was the driving force behind the Community Service
Committee and the food drive! Also vital to the committee
were Ron Yurick and Mike
Yurick with AccuBrokers, Inc. Together they made sure
no detail was overlooked. Thank You all for making this such
a success!
The list of committee members, volunteers, locations and
individual donators is too numerous to mention in this
email. For a complete list and additional pictures check our
website on Friday! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE INVOLVED ESPECIALLY
OUR SPONSORS - AC WHITE RELOCATIONS, NORTH RIDGE
