If you are using Gmail or another web based email such as Yahoo or Hotmail, you Must Download the document. You cannot use the 'View as HTML' feature.

Step 1: Scroll to the bottom of the email.
You will see the attachment listed like this:


Click Download.
 

Step 2: A window will pop up, where you will click Save.
 

Step 3 & 4: Click on the Desktop Icon on the left,
then Click on the Save Button at the bottom.
 

Finally, close all open programs so that you can see your desktop.
Double click on the icon of the document you just downloaded.

The document should open with Microsoft Word.
If it does not, or if the document looks 'garbled', please Download the Word Viewer
